The Oasis has found a local friend in Symbolic Insight Records!

We are proud to present our collaborative release 森 - produced entirely using field-recordings from our surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains with original instrumentation featuring driving synthesizers and processed trumpet all recorded in a mountain rainforest studio.

This release presents a naturewave microcosm reflecting the immediate environment that inspires us on the daily - we sincerely hope you enjoy your visit to the mountains surrounding our little town of Marshall, North Carolina.

‘Gaze’ is characterized by what feels like a never-ending, imposingly deep drone that shifts from one sound to the next. It fades back when the melodies take their turn but returns to the forefront as these times and tones pass, changing piece by piece underneath and returning anew, yet the same deep down. It becomes comforting in that sense, deeply ambient for long stretches before pulling you back in while it changes for the next sprawl, then ending as humbly as it first presented itself.
